Yesterday we posted about the fast flying rumors surrounding the cancellation of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf for the PS3 and 360 and today we bring you word that development of the game is in fact being SUSPENDED as opposed to CANCELLED all together. This via VE3D, who translated a press release from French developers Widescreen Games, who were working on the project with CD Projekt Red and Atari.
From the Press Release (via auto-translation):
“The development of the game The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf has been suspended pending the resolution of financial issues between the different project partners. We regret this particular provision in respect of the fans who were waiting with impatience the title. I hope we find a solution in agreement with our recent and historical partners involved in this ambitious project” said Olivier Masclef, director of the company Widescreen Games.”
So, it would seem a financial quarrel is at the heart of this delay/cancellation. Hmmm… THAT SUCKS! We at the ‘Axe will begin going door to door, begging fine citizens the world over to pitch in and participate in the official White Wolf fundraiser…Who’s with me?

That would be great if the fans could pitch in the $$ needed and get the game when it’s done.
maybe even be in the alpha/beta programs
i m with you, The Witcher is one of the best game i played and i was really hyped for the console version
